Live Web Cam Continuing Education Classes

 

 

Q.  Do I have to be "tech savvy" to take this class?

A.  Most of us are not "tech savvy" about something.
     Are you willing to learn?
You MUST have a functioning web cam, and be willing
to download the software to enter the virtual classroom. 

For people that already have a web cam installed
and know that it is functioning, downloading the additional
software takes about 5 minutes.
I've done Demo Classes with people in 5 minutes.
I've also spent 30 minutes with people
until we could figure out what needed to be done.

Q.  Do I have to pass a test to get credit for this class?

 

No!
Since you are required to attend at a specific time
     and it is taught "Live" over the internet, it is not classified
      as an "online class." 

      Therefore, you are not required to pass a test
      to receive credit for the class!

    
      You must be seen by the web cam at all times
      to receive credit for the class.

The web cam classes are taken
in a "virtual classroom" on the Internet!
It's a SUPER CONVENIENT way to learn.

Do you have a functioning web cam on your computer?
     
 (A web cam can be purchased at any office supply store,
        Walmart, Amazon.com, etc. (Price range: $20 and up.
Just make sure it is compatible with your computer.)

Do your speakers work on your computer?
   
   (Go to YouTube.com and watch a video.  Can you hear it?)

 Do you have high speed internet?
___Yes  ___No

Do you have a wired connection to your computer?
       A wired connection is more stable. If you have wireless,
       it may not be a stable connection. The Demo Class will
       determine if your wireless connection is stable.

Payment is the only way to assure your seat in a class.
       Seating is limited. Register early!

Attend a Demo Class - Normally this takes about 10 minutes.

Login to class about 15 minutes before class begins.

Q. Can I get CE credit in other states?

 
 

A.  Some states do accept web cam classes for CE credit.
You need to check with the Education Department at the
Real Estate Commission of other states to see if they
will accept Live Web Cam Classes for CE credit.
We will be happy to demo the system for the them.

Q.  Can we talk to each other?

 
 

A.  Yes! You can raise your "hand" icon and ask the instructor
      a question.  In the Core Course, conversations will be limited
      because there is so much material to cover. You can also "chat"
      to the instructor during the class.  There are some interactive
      polls and quizzes in the class.

Q. Do I have to be a member of a Board to take the class?

 
 

A. The classes are open to any licensee.
     It is not necessary to be a member of a Board.

Q. When do we break for lunch and take breaks?

 

A. The schedule is the same as a classroom class.
    There is a 10 minute break every 50 minutes.
    For the all day classes, lunch is between noon and one.

Q. Do I have to attend a Demo Class?

 

A.  Most of us are not "tech savvy" about something.
     Are you willing to learn? You MUST have a functioning web cam,
     and be willing to download the software to enter the virtual
     classroom.  Installing the web cam
   
     Perform the System Check first to make sure your computer is
     compatible.  Then, have someone help you install the web cam.
     After that attend a Demo Class.  If I can't help you we have an
     800 number to call for tech support.
    (You will navigate away from this page when you do the
    System Check and you will be required to download software.
    Your antivirus program will ask if you want to download.
    You must agree to download. )
    
 
     It's like everything else --- it's easy when you know how! 
 
     We've had many agents share that after installing the web cam
     they have been able to conduct video phone calls with family
     and friends in other parts of the country and the world!

One person shared that she had a dear friend who lived
in London, England. Because of the expense of travel,
they had given up on ever seeing each other again. 
They both got Skype and now "see" each other every week.
    
As she said, "It's not as good as seeing her in person,
     but it is better than a phone call...and Skype is FREE!"   

     Other agents have shared that their clients and customers are
     impressed that they know how to video chat.  So, there are
     many benefits to the web cam communication after the class!

Q. How do I get my login link for the Demo Class
     and the Class that I am going to take?

 
 

A.  Upon payment you will receive an email with the
     login information and a PDF file showing you the most
     common icons that you use in the classroom.

What is your refund policy?
A refund will be given if the cancellation is received
 by noon the business day prior to class, or we will apply
 the tuition to another course selection in 2011.
There is no refund after December 31, 2011.
